Occupational Therapy in Haringey
Scope of this chapter
Occupational Therapy practitioners in Haringey are integrated into the following adult social care teams: First Response, Reablement, Assessment, Review and the Haringey Learning Disability Partnership (HLDP).
They carry out a range of functions including assessment, Care and Support Plan Review, arranging equipment and minor adaptations and brokering care and support services.
They also identify any need for a major adaptation and provide service specifications to the Adaptations Service.
The Adaptations Service consists of surveyors and Assessment and Advice Officers, who are responsible for carrying out major adaptations and making DFG applications. Occupational Therapy practitioners work with the Adaptations Service to monitor progress of works and ensure any interim care and support is in place.
